The Office for Diversity and Academic Success in the Sciences (ODASIS) is an academic support unit at Rutgers whose mission is to increase the academic success of undergraduate students who are interested in pursuing careers in the science, technology, engineering, and mathematics professions.

Program Benefits

Through a unique and rigorous program that includes supplemental instruction, enrichment opportunities, and individualized academic advising and mentoring, ODASIS:

  • Promotes student retention in the sciences
  • Improves the percentage of students entering health professional graduate programs
  • Creates highly qualified students who are better enabled to take on leadership roles within the workforce and in their communities
  • More than 1,000 students have graduated from the ODASIS program and have gone on to pursue careers in medicine, dentistry, nursing, research, physician assist, and other health-related professions.
